Questions

1. Our framework sets out 8 priorities for a new Mental Health Strategy that we think will transform mental health in Scotland over 10 years. Are these the most important priorities?

If no, what priorities do you think will deliver this transformation?
Very concerned that services for those of use diagnosed with a personality disorder are not seriously being considered. Psychiatric services only seem to take the suffering of people with psychosis seriously and avoid dealing with people with personality disorders.

2. The table in Annex A sets out a number of early actions that we think will support improvements for mental health.

Are there any other actions that you think we need to take to improve mental health in Scotland?
d peer surpport situations very often put my mental health under a considerable strain. I was left in situations dealing with people who's mental health problems were difficult to deal with and other people who avoid engaging with those people. I have found employabilty support is generally very poor. I felt lied to and exploited by some charities that were meant to be offering me 'support'. I was in fact very often dumped with the support worker"s work. Has to be real support, with real jobs. Real recovery is good but the network is only a quango!

3. The table in Annex A sets out some of the results we expect to see.

What do you want mental health services in Scotland to look like in 10 years' time?
Won't be any better, probably worse than now. The usual being passed from pillar to post and revolving door nonsense. No real cooperation between serivces or accountability. Politicians and Managers 'spin doctoring' to cover it all up. Changing things around to justify their jobs and confusing everyone in the process.
