Questions

1. Our framework sets out 8 priorities for a new Mental Health Strategy that we think will transform mental health in Scotland over 10 years. Are these the most important priorities?

If no, what priorities do you think will deliver this transformation?
Although agree with the priorities, we need to make sure services available are accessible for all those who need and are aimed at reducing health inequalities. i.e. dont set up services that require people to travel/drive/read and respond to opt in letters etc without support to do so.

2. The table in Annex A sets out a number of early actions that we think will support improvements for mental health.

Are there any other actions that you think we need to take to improve mental health in Scotland?
Primary care needs support to offer longer term interventions and counselling rather than current limited options of 6-8 sessions for the most vulnerable/at risk patients.

3. The table in Annex A sets out some of the results we expect to see.

What do you want mental health services in Scotland to look like in 10 years' time?
Direct access to MH services for patients in communities - reducing GP beurocracy and need for "referrals". Crisis support in communities and health centres other than GPs and who dont require GPs to refer in.
