Overview

Introduction to the consultation and Ministerial foreword from the First Minister and Mark McDonald MSP, Minister for Childcare and Early Years:

This consultation on the Draft British Sign Language (BSL) National Plan seeks to gather your views about the proposed actions. The plan has been produced in collaboration with the BSL National Advisory Group. Together we have set long term goals that we are striving for.

In this plan, which covers 2017-2023 we present the steps we want to take towards these goals. Please give us your feedback in English or BSL using this consultation website or through the Facebook page: http://fb.me/bslnationalplan.

If you need any assistance in responding to the consultation you can contact the Deaf Sector Partnership (DSP) who will be happy to support you in responding in the way you prefer. You can contact them by emailing them on admin@deafsectorpartnership.net

There will be consultation events run by the DSP which you can attend as well. These will be updated below throughout the consultation and online – DSP website.
