• Recommendation 1 of the Good Governance Task Group Report: better arrangements are put in place to improve board member recruitment

• Recommendation 9 of the Good Governance Task Group Report: more sanctions are considered so that a wider range of measures is available, if necessary

Why your views matter

The Colleges Good Governance Task Group Scotland's made a series of recommendations to encourage effective governance in Scotland's Colleges. This consultation seeks stakeholders and individuals opinions on a number of areas including accountability, remuneration of college board members, trade union nominees on boards and Ministers’ powers to issue guidance on appointments and sanctions.

The results from this consultation will be used to guide improvements to college governance arrangements.

What happens next

Following the consultation the responses will be analysed and a final report will be published following consultation with the Good Governance Steering Group.
